Umoja
The name "Umoja" itself means "solidarity" in Swahili, reflecting the cooperative effort and shared goals of the farmers and the coffee company.

Umoja is a fully washed, single-origin coffee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, known for its balanced, sweet, and fruity flavor profile. It's a product of the Congolese peace movement, with over 11,600 members contributing to the Umoja cooperative in South Kivu. The coffee is grown on volcanic soil, between Lake Kivu and the Mitumba mountain range, at altitudes of 1400-2000 meters.

The coffee boasts a complex mix of flavors with hints of dark chocolate.

Impact: Optimist Coffee Traders emphasize the positive impact of the Umoja coffee on the lives of the farmers and their communities. The coffee trade provides a vital source of income and helps to promote rights for marginalized groups.

Congo is velvety soft with a crisp finish.

All that and a bag of chips

Had been on the hunt for Congo and discovered Terra Nova. A full body brown sugar sip with a sweet Barry finish. A true coffee experience that makes you want to brew another cup. The beans are nicely roasted and very fresh.

From Congo to your cup.

Bean there, done that, but this one's my absolute fave! If you love coffee that’s smooth and complex, this one’s for you. Congo Coffee with depth, balance, and zero bitterness. 😊❤️🦍

Delicious Congo

Finally, a coffee with real body, but not bitter. I hope that it
can be available for a long time.

My Favorite

This is my favorite coffee from Tera Nova. I buy 6-8 pounds every 6 weeks and this one is one of the requirements.
